The Foxborough Select Board on April 15 approved a collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME Local 1702 Unit B covering Department of Public Works employees (Unit B).
Town negotiators summarized the agreement for the public: cost-of-living adjustments (cola) over the contract term, clarified holiday/bereavement/personal and sick-leave accruals, a $25 increase in longevity pay, provisions for modified summer hours and an unpaid summer-shift flexibility option, closing allowances and stipend language, and a 20-year step scheduled for year three of the contract. The settlement was negotiated in executive session and presented to the board for ratification.
The board moved, seconded and approved the agreement by roll call.
