The council applauded King’s efforts and thanked her for volunteering to pick up trash in multiple locations across the parish. King said she had been doing cleanups for about two months but had to pause after injury; she resumed once recovered.
President Miller asked King to say a few words and thanked her publicly on behalf of the council.
