Sheridan City Council voted Dec. 9 to join an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Littleton, Englewood and Arapahoe County to fund a Tri-Cities homelessness coordinator and implement an action plan focused on family homelessness.
City Manager summarized the IGA terms: the county will provide administrative oversight and some overhead while the participating cities provide funding shares. The packet identified Sheridan’s contribution as approximately $18,500 per year; Littleton’s share was presented as roughly $92,000 per year with an additional $62,500 ARPA appropriation reported by Littleton, and Inglewood’s share around $74,000. Staff said the action-plan implementation cost is approximately $185,000 and that the pilot safe-parking program item ($25,000) had already been paid by the county.
The IGA runs for two years and outlines reporting requirements, performance metrics and governance responsibilities through the Tri-Cities structure; the coordinator (Jessica) is technically a county employee overseen administratively by the county with cities contributing funds.
Next steps: execute the IGA and continue reporting through monthly and annual reports and performance metrics described in the agreement.
