The consent agenda included the treasurer's February financial report; March claims and ACH claims; February payroll registers; and multiple resolutions, among them Resolution 2026-031 (financial transfers), Resolution 2026-032 (bid for HHW collection services), Resolution 2026-034 (HHW grant application), Resolution 2026-035 (Civic Plus website renewal), Resolution 2026-036 (audit services cost proposal for FYE 2026), Resolution 2026-037 (SPDA Best Friends grant agreement), Resolution 2026-038 (reappointment of Charles Nall to the Hardin County Planning Commission), Resolution 2026-039 (reappointment of Greg Youngblood to the Hardin County Board of Adjustment), Resolution 2026-040 (rubberized asphalt grant application for Road Department), Resolution 2026-041 (Certified Communication Solutions telephone maintenance agreement), Resolution 2026-042 (E-911 job description changes), Resolution 2026-044 (EMS personnel), Resolution 2026-045 (Road personnel), Resolution 2026-046 (E-911 personnel), Resolution 2026-047 (rescinding Resolution 2024-200 for two new Type I ambulances), and committee minutes from Public Works, Emergency Services, Resources & Community Support, and Finance. Squire Fred Clem moved to approve and Squire Chris Yates seconded; the roll-call vote recorded all present voting yes and the motion passed.
Before the consent vote, at the request of Squire Chris Yates Invoice 1000630003/124 for $35,913 was removed from the consent agenda. Later in the meeting Judge Taul moved and Squire Larry Hicks seconded approval of Invoice 1000630003/24 for $35,913. Squire Yates asked about the purpose of the vehicle and how it was purchased. Judge Taul said the vehicle "was purchased through state procurement" and described fleet issues and turnover at E-911, adding the vehicle would be used for out-of-county training. Squire Kenny Saltsman said he felt misled because previously raising fees had been described as intended to cover equipment; Taul responded, "I was not misled." The motion to approve the invoice passed by roll-call vote as recorded.
County Attorney Jenny Oldham reminded the public of a special called Fiscal Court meeting; County Clerk Brian D. Smith explained the difference between farm plates and the new Friends of Agriculture plates. Several magistrates invited the public to upcoming committee meetings and offered safety reminders. The court adjourned without objection.
