The Oshkosh Area School District board approved its consent agenda Wednesday, which included the 2026 summer maintenance projects and capital improvement plan.
District staff highlighted several projects slated for the summer: replacement of the North gymnasium floor, a new gym floor at Lakeside Elementary, installation of power transformers and air conditioning at several schools, exterior window work and other scheduled maintenance. Administration told the board those projects are covered in the budget and described the summer as "going to be a very busy summer."
During the consent motion, Chris Wright moved to approve the consent items and Tim Hess seconded. The chair called a voice vote and announced the consent agenda carried. No board member pulled an item for separate consideration.
Separately, the board heard a report on extended contracts and summer staffing administration that will change internal controls (time punches and supervisory approvals) for summer work.
