Black Hawk County’s Board of Supervisors adopted the FY2026 budget amendment on May 26, 2026 after a public hearing and approved associated appropriation adjustments for various county departments.
The board approved Amendment #1 to the FY2026 Secondary Roads budget and accepted the statement of completion and final acceptance for Project L-3032 (bridge repairs), authorizing final payment of $69,721.06 and noting a total project cost of $314,991.90; the project contractor was Boulder Construction, LLC. The board also accepted the April 25, 2026 Notice of Termination from the Solid Waste Management Commission and consented to termination of a 1990 HR and Payroll Services Agreement effective May 26, 2026.
For the FY2027 seal coating project the board opened sealed bids that ranged from $164,196.00 to $284,300.00 and received the bids for further review. The board took no award action at the meeting and placed the bids on file to allow time for review by county staff.
