County Treasurer Kimberly Long presented the April 2026 financial report to the Commissioners Court, reporting total county assets of $8,170,234.63 as of April 30, 2026. The report provided balances for the general fund, two certificates of deposit, a money market account and other restricted funds, and listed April and year-to-date interest earned.
The court reviewed the detailed check register for the period April 14 through May 11, 2026, which lists specific payees and amounts and shows a total of $361,876.76 in checks/payments for the period; the register was approved unanimously. The minutes record numerous line-item disbursements (payroll, fuel, services, software, repairs) and several larger payments to entities including First Bank Southwest and Wholesale Fuels.
Commissioners signed the certification attesting they examined and found the treasurer’s report in due order. The court’s approval of the register and certification provides the administrative authorization for the listed disbursements to be processed.
