At its July 16 meeting the Hyde Park Planning Board approved multiple site-plan waivers (two residential rooftop-solar installations, Hyde Park Free Library elevator/HVAC, and an accessibility ramp for Saint James Episcopal Church) and adjourned the Bellfield PUD Phase 2B public hearing to Aug. 6 at the applicant's request.
The Hyde Park Planning Board on July 16 approved several routine site-plan waivers and moved one public hearing to a later date.
The board voted to adjourn the continued public hearing for Bellfield PUD Phase 2B to August 6 at the applicant’s request, allowing time for additional materials and preliminary-plat items to be addressed.
The board approved a site-plan waiver (Resolution 2025-31) for Aaron Smiles to add roof-mounted photovoltaic panels at 16 Scenic Drive. A second site-plan waiver (Resolution 2025-32) approved rooftop solar for Steven/Stephen Ware at 100 River Road. The planning board also approved a site-plan waiver (Resolution 2025-33) for the Hyde Park Free Library at 2 Main Street to install an elevator and HVAC units in a historic overlay district; the application was submitted by Lisa Palmer, the library director. Finally, the board approved a waiver (Resolution 2025-34) for Saint James Episcopal Church to replace a handicapped access ramp and install new front doors at 4526 Albany Post Road.
All waivers were adopted by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript. Items that require additional review were adjourned or otherwise scheduled for further action.
