Board approves Snyder Environmental lining work in Fresh Meadows; ARPA funds to be obligated

Staff described the lining as a minimally invasive option that avoids extensive tree removal and noted the segment is outside the right-of-way. The Snyder Environmental invoice cited on the agenda was $44,800; staff also noted a telehandler rental could be required (estimated roughly $3,350), bringing the likely total near $48,150. Public Works staff confirmed the work will be charged to ARPA funds to meet obligation deadlines.
"This will use ARPA funds like we have with the other ones," staff said during the presentation, adding that obligating ARPA funds before year-end was necessary to satisfy program requirements. After brief public questions about capital-plan coding and project prioritization, the board approved the proposal by voice vote, 5-0.
