Board members raised concerns about balancing year-round youth sports, the three-week lead-time in the draft policy and how outside leagues could be accommodated; staff said they would refine wording and continue working to enable online submissions while maintaining a system for in-town priority and conflict resolution. Parks and Recreation staff described this year’s programs and said the department served 236 attendees across multiple events and sports.
The board also proclaimed July 2024 as National Parks and Recreation Month and July 19 as Parks and Recreation Professional Day for the town, and thanked staff for their programming.
