The Boonville Board of Works voted to change the previously selected contractor for pond and backwash-basin cleaning and approved a quoted price of $88,890 from Industrial Environmental.
A staff member said the new local contractor offered a substantially better price and local availability, and that landfill fees for disposal would be billed separately. “He gave us a much better price,” the staff speaker said, recommending the contract change. A motion to change contractors and approve the $88,890 quote passed by voice vote.
Board members clarified that landfill and wetland-related fees remain the city’s responsibility and will appear as separate line items. Staff indicated work could proceed promptly once scheduling and purchase-order paperwork are finalized and that some of the work could be advanced while Rudolph’s crew is on site for related mobilization.
The board did not set a specific start date at the meeting; staff will finalize the purchase order and contract paperwork.
