Parker council approves lot combination, grant of clerk account access and a planning commission appointment

At its May 7 meeting the Parker City Council approved three administrative and planning items by roll-call vote.

1) Lot combination at 212 Suddath Place: Applicant Filippo Lozada asked the council to allow the combination of two adjacent parcels so he could install a fence and secure the property from encampments. The planning board had recommended approval, and the council voted to allow the lots to be combined. Lozada told the council he had removed trash from the lots and planned to make the property "pretty," and the council approved the motion on a voice/roll call.

2) Clerk banking access and credit card: The council authorized the city clerk to access municipal bank accounts and approved issuing a city credit card to the clerk. The clerk's access and the card were approved by majority roll call.

3) Planning commission appointment: The council considered an application for the planning commission vacancy and appointed Anne Powering to the unexpired term (the council discussed the term running to July 2026). The motion to place Powering on the planning council passed on roll call.

Each item was offered, seconded and approved during the meeting; roll-call responses were read aloud by the clerk for each motion. No abstentions or negative votes were recorded in the meeting transcript.
