Resident questions public-comment test run; commission agrees to reschedule September meeting

Separately, members discussed scheduling for the commission's next meeting. The September meeting was tentatively set for Sept. 8, but the Chair and a commissioner (Chrisann) indicated they would be out of the area. The Clerk proposed moving the meeting to Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 6:00 p.m.; commissioners agreed and noted the date change will need to be advertised. The Clerk and Chair confirmed that advertising the new meeting date is required under the applicable notice procedures.
The commission did not adopt a formal policy on public comment during this meeting; the record shows the change is being treated as a test run pending any formal board-level policy change.
