Jay County approves amended Skycrest Solar EDA, extending construction timeline

Sternberg said the developer has improved certainty over grid connectivity and can build a new substation without substantial upstream upgrades, which increased their confidence in the timeline.
County Attorney Wes Schemenaur said the Plan Commission recommended notice to surrounding landowners about the revised timeline; Sternberg confirmed Invenergy will mail notices. Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the amended EDA as recommended by the County Council and Plan Commission.
