Woodbridge council adopts traffic, property and small‑wireless ordinances; consent agenda approved

At its regular meeting, the Woodbridge Township Council took up several ordinances and consent items. The council adopted a second-and-third-reading ordinance amending chapter 7 of the traffic code to add a stop intersection at Vine and Summit Avenues; the public hearing was opened and, with no public comment, the ordinance was adopted and submitted to the mayor.
Council then considered an ordinance authorizing the acquisition of property at 73 Main Street. A resident asked why the property was listed as "abandoned" and where it is located; the mayor said the town would provide full information once a formal agreement with the prospective operator is complete.
The council also adopted an ordinance establishing procedures and standards for deployment of fiber and small wireless facilities in the public right-of-way. The public hearing for that ordinance drew no comments and the measure was approved.
Two additional ordinances (letters D and E) were passed on first reading and scheduled for public hearing on June 9, 2026, and the council approved resolutions numbered 1 through 26 by consent. Minutes from the May 5, 2026 meeting were approved earlier in the evening by voice vote.
