Sagadahoc County Commissioners on June 11 approved a package of personnel and budget actions. Commissioner August motioned to hire Karly Perry as Legal Secretary effective July 1, 2024; Commissioner Grose seconded and the motion passed 3-0. Commissioners also approved accepting Perry's resignation from the Board of Assessment Review, noting county employees cannot serve on that board.
The board approved an updated county COVID-19 policy that states the county will follow Centers for Disease Control guidance so the policy does not need frequent local revision as federal guidance changes. That motion passed 3-0.
After an earlier executive session, the board authorized transfers in the Communications FY25 budget to consolidate a Duty Officer stipend into the EMA Deputy Director salary and to transfer the Programs Coordinator salary to the EMA Deputy Director line; both transfers were approved 3-0. The board then approved the promotion of Hannah Dickinson to Deputy EMA Director, effective July 1, 2024.
Commissioner August asked that future personnel actions include candidate resumes when available; Administrator Amber Jones said resumes are typically provided but this applicant submitted an application and interview without a resume.
