City preparing Title VI annual package for GDOT; staff to present full report in June

City Engineer Margie Pozin told the Council the City of Duluth is preparing its annual Title VI submission required by the Georgia Department of Transportation. Pozin said the city's Title VI program prohibits discrimination in programs and activities and that this year's highlights include comprehensive translation services and outreach efforts to attract diverse populations.
Pozin said the report also identifies areas for improvement. She told the Council staff will present the full Title VI package at the June meeting to allow submission to GDOT prior to the June 30, 2023 deadline. Council authorized staff to place the Title VI item on the next consent agenda for formal consideration.
The work session discussion did not include formal revisions to the Title VI package; staff will return with the full materials for Council review.
