The Byram Township Council on June 18 introduced an ordinance authorizing enforcement of Subtitle 1, Title 39 of the New Jersey Revised Statutes on property owned by Byram 206 Developers, LLC for a proposed Wawa food market and fueling station at 75 Route 206 (block 34, lots 14 and 15).
The measure was introduced and set for final consideration at the Township Council meeting on July 2, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, during which time members of the public will be given an opportunity to be heard. The ordinance text indicates the change is intended to allow application of state traffic statutes to the property should the development proceed.
No vote on final passage occurred; council members recorded the ordinance introduction and scheduled the public hearing.
