Clinton County Legislature approves a slate of routine resolutions including airport contracts and grant appropriations

The Clinton County Legislature on the evening’s agenda approved a series of routine resolutions authorizing contracts and appropriations, commending long-serving firefighters and placing several airport-related procurements on record. The legislature authorized a capital project titled “Veterans Garage Project” for a county airport location.

Several commendations passed without substantive debate: the legislature adopted resolutions honoring Eric Dam, James Joyce and Michael Carabello for 35 years of service to local fire departments and commended Nina Coolidge for 65 years of service.

After those votes, the Chair requested and the legislature approved an executive session to discuss the history of a particular person; the body returned to regular session and then approved waiving rule 13.2 to consider Resolutions 399 and 400 that authorize county contracts with private vendors. Resolutions 399 and 400 were carried as recorded; Resolution 400 included a recorded abstention. The meeting adjourned following the votes.
