Caribou County commissioners approve claims, sheriff patrol Tahoe and set election logistics

Sheriff Ric Anderson presented an additional bid for a patrol vehicle and, after review, the commissioners approved purchasing a Chevrolet Tahoe for the sheriff's fleet. The minutes record the board's approval but do not include a roll-call vote for that specific procurement.
Following an executive session convened under Idaho Code I.C. 67-2345(b), the board reconvened and approved personnel-related adjustments: granting new employees two hours back for Thanksgiving and Christmas and increasing the boot reimbursement to $200, to be paid upon presentation of a receipt. The motion to enter and reconvene from executive session was recorded with unanimous roll-call votes in the minutes.
On election logistics, Commissioner Christensen moved (seconded by Commissioner Mathews) to designate the polling places for the March 10, 2015 school levy election to be the same locations used the prior year; the motion passed unanimously. Clerk Denise Horsley requested use of the old Commissioner Room as a central count election office and was instructed to contact Randy Stephens to ready the room.
The board asked County Prosecutor Doug Wood to investigate issues related to Bonneville Power lines raised during the meeting and directed staff to follow up on matters originating from the executive sessions, including bringing Road and Bridge Supervisor Kim Spencer into a follow-up discussion.
The meeting adjourned at 12:00 p.m.; the minutes schedule the next regular meeting for Feb. 9, consistent with the 2015 meeting year recorded in the minutes.
