Broken Bow council approves sale of surplus lot with nuisance-remediation condition

The City of Broken Bow City Council approved Resolution 2024-06 at its July 9 meeting to sell surplus real property described as Lot Six and the North Half of Lot Seven in Block Twelve of Jewett & Lilly's Addition. The motion to approve Resolution 2024-06 was made by Councilmember Paul Holland and seconded by Councilmember Luke Wassom. The resolution sets a minimum bid of $6,500 and requires the successful bidder to remediate the property’s nuisance status within 60 days of deed transfer. Sealed bids must be filed with the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on August 23, 2024; bids will be opened at the City Council meeting on August 27, 2024. The roll call vote was unanimous.
