Forsyth County plans to amend Nafcare contract to continue jail medication‑assisted treatment through 2026

Steven Yots, director of business operations for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, briefed an agenda item seeking an amendment to the county’s agreement with Nafcare North Carolina LLC to continue providing medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) services in the Forsyth County Detention Center through Dec. 21, 2026. Yots said Nafcare provides services for the MAP program, including nursing staff, and the request is to increase the not‑to‑exceed amount on the contract to support those services during the extension.
Deputy County Manager Denise Price introduced the item; no formal vote or additional discussion took place during the briefing.
