"Using the citizens request tool is really easy," Petroza said, adding that the form is short and designed to reach on-duty staff so that "whoever's working that day is gonna receive your request and take action on it." She told listeners the tool is intended to route inquiries to the appropriate department, whether the question concerns taxes, recreation programs, birth certificates or building permits.
Petroza said staff work to provide accurate information and to direct requests to the right department when needed. She reiterated that the tool is accessible from a link on the town’s home page at manchesterct.gov; the transcript records one instance where the address was spoken as "manchestercp.gov," which appears to be a typographical error in speech transcription. The correct address is manchesterct.gov.
