The Yadkin County Board of Elections met March 2, 2026, at the board’s office and unanimously approved routine business including the prior meeting minutes and a package of absentee ballots.
Tony Poindexter, board member, moved to accept the minutes from the Feb. 24, 2026 meeting; the motion was approved 5-0. Brenna Dickerson, elections director, presented 15 CIV absentee ballots and 1 OVR ballot. Jeff Smith, board member, moved to accept all the presented absentee ballots; the board approved that motion 5-0.
Gary Mastin, chair, called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. The meeting included a brief invocation and ran until 5:25 p.m., when a motion to adjourn made by Jeff Smith passed 5-0. The board announced its next meeting will be at 5:00 p.m. on March 3, 2026.
