District presenters showed a video and narrated construction milestones at the new CTE facility, reporting foundation, slab and utility work in progress and saying the academic building and key utilities were expected to be completed in phases with project activity continuing through July 2026. The district described the CTE center as a high‑capacity facility: “400 students will attend here full time, and another 2,000 students will come here each day to take place in CTE electives,” one presenter told trustees.
Administrators said they will present the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for the Transition Learning Center and for the auditorium at the board meeting next Tuesday and reported both projects are currently within budget projections. The auditorium design includes acoustic upgrades, dimmable LED house lights, new seating finishes and an ADA chair lift; the exterior back wall will be reconstructed and set back roughly 18 feet to expand scene‑shop space, the presenter said.
On professional services agreements, the board approved an amendment converting an initial AB101 contract for the transportation center to a G802 amendment to reflect renovations rather than a new build, after the team changed sites and found a better existing facility. For Austin Elementary, the board approved an amendment that moved the scope from an hourly preliminary contract to a larger rebuild (the presenter said demolition is expected to begin next week and a ground‑breaking is planned in the coming weeks).
Board members asked for schedule details and were told demolition and construction sequencing will be provided; district staff said they will return with GMPs and regular construction updates. Both Park Hill amendments passed by motion and voice vote.
