County maintenance recommends closing Gumbranch polling site after reported damage

Supervisor Ronda Walthour informed the board that County Maintenance Director David O'Hagan reported damages at the Gumbranch precinct and recommended permanently closing the facility.
Chair John McIver recommended the elections office meet with County Administrator Joseph Mosley, County Commissioner Connie Thrift and representatives of the City of Gumbranch to consult the building committee and determine next steps. Pictures of the reported damage were provided to board members.
The board did not take final action on closure at the meeting; McIver directed staff to coordinate meetings with county and city officials to evaluate options and safety concerns before any formal decision.
