Scott Shuler, the county weed supervisor, told the board he is preparing equipment for the next weed season and that he and Doug Wood will update the county’s no-spray zone ordinance and present the revision for board approval. The board approved Shuler’s attendance at the Eastern Idaho weed meeting in Pocatello and agreed that part-time weed employees may attend a separate training session in Pocatello.
Commissioner Earl Somsen also noted he had located a supplier for fuel if the county proceeds with cloud-seeding work. The board did not vote to adopt any ordinance changes at this meeting; Shuler was directed to prepare the draft update for future consideration.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 25, 2013.
