Commission approves Centene Stadium engineering contract and police evidence-building change order

The Great Falls City Commission on March 17 approved two project actions: a professional services agreement for Centene Stadium improvements and a final change order for the Police Department Evidence Building expansion.
ARPA Project Manager Sylvia Tarman reminded the Commission that $425,000 in Parks Maintenance District Funds was previously awarded for the Centene Stadium seat and net upgrades; TD&H Engineering submitted an estimate of $12,500 for engineering and construction administration services and the Commission approved a Professional Services Agreement with TD&H for $12,500 (motion by Commissioner Joe McKenney, second by Commissioner Rick Tryon). The motion carried 4-1, with Commissioner Shannon Wilson recorded in dissent.
Tarman also reported Change Order #2 for the Police Evidence Building expansion, which covers additional work to accommodate a material lift, temporary walls for evidence protection, additional structural steel, saw cutting and finish items. The change order work totals $64,050.01; the project had $45,202.94 remaining in contingency which will be used, and the $18,847.07 overage will be paid from the Police Special Revenue Fund, increasing Wadsworth Construction’s total contract amount to $3,638,597.07. The Commission approved the change order by a 5-0 vote.
