Board awards Embreeville Troop J contracts totaling about $4.51 million; approves land dedications and committee changes

On the recommendation of the project architect and township solicitor the Board awarded the general construction contract to Balton Construction, Inc. for $2,493,396. The Board approved the mechanical contract to Engineering Excellence, NA LLC d/b/a Berkshire Mechanical & Denny’s Electric for $380,000. For the electrical contract the Board rejected Berkshire Mechanical & Denny Electric as the lowest responsible bidder and awarded the work to Hobbs & Company, Inc. for $1,114,500. The plumbing contract was awarded to Flo Mechanical LLC for $524,000 after a similar recommendation to reject Berkshire Mechanical & Denny Electric’s bid for that scope. Recorded votes on these recommendations carried 3-0 where noted.
Separately the Board adopted Resolution #26-04 accepting a deed of dedication for roadways in the Buck Hill Farms subdivision and authorized the Township Manager to execute the Maintenance Security Agreement for Buck Hill Farms.
The Board accepted Subdivision and Land Development #25-03 (2065 W. Strasburg Road) for review and referred it to the Planning Commission. It also appointed Kyle Rose to the Land Preservation Committee with a term ending Dec. 31, 2028, and accepted the resignation of Alex Kemps from the Historical Committee; both personnel actions carried 3-0.
