BPAC reports strong outreach at high school wellness fair, discusses kiosk policy and Fall Fair plans

At the March 19 meeting, BPAC members reviewed outreach activities and administrative items. B. Judd reported that approximately 150 students visited the BPAC booth at the Chelmsford High School Wellness Fair, where 60 bike lights were distributed, trail maps and historical information were shared, and the event drew roughly 1,500 attendees overall. Judd said about two-thirds of responding students reported using the trail regularly, with many attendees from Byam School.
Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail is preparing a spring newsletter and requested contributions from BPAC. The committee also discussed an email request to post flyers on trail kiosks at Heart Pond and Carol Cleven Park and determined a formal kiosk-posting policy is needed; J. Warhurst will draft that policy.
BPAC confirmed participation in the Chelmsford Fall Fair and created a shift schedule; S. Maggio was recorded as possessing the BPAC banner. On administrative matters, the BPAC account balance was reported as $1,118.84 and K. Baxter agreed to complete the form to request a porta-potty for events.
