Commission approves minutes and forwards two road-discontinuance referrals to selectmen

The Orangetown Plan & Zoning Commission approved the minutes of its March 3, 2026 meeting as amended and handled two municipal-improvement referrals at the March 17 meeting.
Commissioner Tom Terente moved to approve the minutes as amended; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. Later, after continuing the PRD text-amendment hearing, the commission took up two 8-24 municipal-improvement referrals from Public Works asking the board to recommend discontinuance of former turnaround areas: one at Skyview Road and one at Old Coach Road. The commission voted to make positive referrals to the Board of Selectmen for both discontinuances. Each referral was approved by voice vote.
Staff noted the discontinuances are a record-cleanup step to match previously approved site-plan changes; the Board of Selectmen will act on the referrals and any final change will be reflected on the land records. The commission then moved to adjourn and the meeting concluded by voice vote.
