Dustin, representing Sysolutions Inc., told the board the sign relocation would place the wall sign in the center of the building on a false wall and improve visibility from State Road 135, where the structure sits far back from the road. "This side is 518 square feet," the presenter said, explaining the larger façade area and the need for a variance from the wall‑sign limit.
The applicant said the existing freestanding sign on 135 would not be altered and that the planned false wall and relocation would maintain the sign’s visibility. Staff recommended approval and noted that any change beyond the two main points approved would render the variance invalid.
Board members asked practical questions about on‑site features. Peters asked whether the pickup‑area sign under the proposed location already existed; the applicant said it did. Peters suggested an aesthetic improvement — extending the blue sideline paint around the elevation.
On a motion by Boyce, seconded by Milborne, the board admitted evidence, approved the variance for a 518‑square‑foot front‑facade wall sign with the two staff conditions, and directed corporation counsel to draft written findings of fact. All votes were 4‑0; the board said final action will follow adoption of the written findings.
