Commission approves three‑unit townhome site plan at 318 Arnold Road

The Glynn County Island Planning Commission unanimously approved the site plan SP‑26‑9 for a three‑unit townhome development at 318 Arnold Road.
Senior planner Christina Wright presented the proposal and said the three‑unit project meets the Resort Residential zoning standards for lot coverage (45% of a 50% maximum), density and the 45‑foot height limit; the proposed buildings are 39 feet, 4 inches tall. Staff confirmed the project meets the two spaces per unit parking requirement.
Engineer Peter Schonauer of Tott War Engineering asked commissioners to approve the site plan and answered the commission's technical questions about garage and driveway parking; staff confirmed each unit has one garage space plus an additional driveway space. Commissioners moved, seconded and unanimously approved SP‑26‑9 as presented. The meeting then adjourned.
