Council approves Sunrise Meadows final plat for 28-lot subdivision

The Uniontown City Council on May 11 approved Resolution 1875 to accept the final plat for Sunrise Meadows, a proposed 28-lot subdivision.
City staff member Chris Bass told the council that the developer had satisfied the conditions of the preliminary plat approved under Ordinance 27-88 and that streets, sidewalks, utilities and frontage improvements were installed and accepted by the city engineer. "Each of the requirements the applicant has met," Bass said, adding that performance and maintenance bonds have been posted and the final map includes required certificates under Title 17.
Staff recommended approval of the final plat and council acted on that recommendation by motion and voice vote.
Why it matters: Final plat approval authorizes recordation and signals that infrastructure required as a condition of preliminary approval is in place. The approval moves the subdivision toward build-out subject to any remaining administrative steps.
What happens next: With council approval, staff will finalize project recording and continue any inspections or warranty-period oversight per the posted bonds.
