The Nitro Land Reuse Authority Board of Directors on record for July 2024 approved an amended infrastructure plan and a $25,000 work-order change to relocate a sewer line at the 2401 1st Ave lots.
Director Reed presented an update on the project, reporting that contractor Dana Casto began a sewer line relocation and encountered a concern that required diverting the original route to a new alignment along 1st Avenue. The board reviewed the amended plan prepared and presented by Casto, NRWU Manager Jeremy Lewis and Mark Sanders and approved the proposed change order unanimously.
The board authorized an additional $25,000 for the work order. The minutes break that total down as $15,000 for additional labor and $10,000 for supplies, including pipe, manholes and gravel. To cover the charge, the board approved a transfer from ARPA funds into the general fund.
Minutes and the board’s financial statements from June 2024 were reviewed and approved unanimously earlier in the meeting. The minutes also record that the board entered an executive session; no details or outcomes of that session are included in the record. The meeting was adjourned at 4:29 p.m., and the board set its next regular meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
