At its meeting the Sandown Heritage Commission finalized merchandising logistics for upcoming events and its online store, and approved a small procurement to produce commemorative coins. Members reviewed shipping quotes for tumblers (one example cited: $10.29 to a Florida ZIP code for a single boxed tumbler) and discussed whether to pass per-order shipping costs to buyers or use a flat fee.
To simplify online ordering, the commission agreed on a flat shipping rate of $9.99 for merchandise orders. The Chair said tumblers will be priced at $25 and corrected an earlier mistaken price for t-shirts to $15; members asked that t-shirt sizes be added to the online order form to avoid fulfillment errors.
The group also discussed ordering commemorative coins. After reviewing bulk pricing and past demand, a committee member moved to expend up to $200 to order 200 coins (including shipping), a second member seconded the motion, and the commission approved it by voice vote. Members agreed a volunteer’s home would be used to store the delivered coins until distribution at events.
The commission tasked the Chair with updating the merchandise order form for the website and Facebook page ahead of the Civic Meetup.
