The Lower Pottsgrove Township Board of Commissioners on July 1 approved a series of administrative and personnel actions in unanimous votes.
Commissioner Michael McGroarty moved to approve a conditional‑use order for Sanatoga Land Holdings LP regarding 147 Evergreen Road related to steep‑slope conditions; Commissioner Robert Mohollen seconded the motion and it passed 4‑0. The board also approved Resolution 1351‑24 to advertise five vacant township parcels (0, 2258, 2270, 2272 East High Street and 2255 Brown Street) for sealed bids through July 17 at 4:30 p.m.
Commissioner William Keohane moved to award the township’s gasoline bid to Penn Petroleum Inc. of Boyertown; Commissioner Robert Mohollen seconded and the motion passed 4‑0. On personnel, the board voted unanimously to extend a conditional offer of employment to Daniel James Cook for a police officer position pending completion of required testing and clearances. The board also accepted the resignation of Amy Henderson effective July 7 and expressed regret and appreciation for her service.
Financial business included approval of Warrant #945 for May and acceptance of the treasurer’s reports for May and June 2024; all votes were unanimous. The board recorded all motions and votes as 4‑0 among the four attending commissioners.
What’s next: The conditional‑use approval does not itself authorize construction; future land‑development submissions and permits will be required. The advertised property sale will proceed through sealed bids to the July 17 deadline.
