Lower Pottsgrove approves oil-and-chip contract, auctions old generator and adopts fee changes

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Board of Commissioners approved multiple procurement and administrative items during its March 3 meeting, including an oil-and-chip contract, the auction of a removed generator and an amendment to township fees.
Commissioner Earl E. Swavely moved to award the 2025 oil-and-chip contract to Asphalt Maintenance Solutions (AMS) of Center Valley for $131,604.33; Commissioner Robert Mohollen seconded and the motion passed 5-0. The board also approved Resolution 1374-25 to auction a 2013 Kohler generator and transfer switch that was removed from 1963 East High Street; Commissioner William Keohane said the item was removed from that address prior to the auction approval. The board approved Resolution #453-W(A), an amendment establishing certain fees, deposits and escrows payable to the township; that motion also passed unanimously.
Manager Edward C. Wagner said Warrant #954 for the month of February will be available on Monday. Commissioners used the meeting to thank staff for quick work on recent bridge safety measures and for supporting public-safety coverage at the Eagles parade.
All items were approved by roll call vote with a 5-0 tally. The approvals allow the township to proceed with contracted maintenance work and dispose of the surplus generator through the auction platform Municibid.
