Edward C. Wagner, Lower Pottsgrove Township manager, told the Parks and Recreation Board on Oct. 28 that the Adventure Grove inclusive playground proposal carries a high price tag and that staff are pursuing grant funding to cover costs.
Wagner said the original vendor estimate totals $955,417.07 and that staff have asked Trisha (last name not specified in the minutes) to obtain an additional quote from Playworld Systems. He also reported that an "Inclusive Day" fundraiser at the end of September raised approximately $2,000 toward the project.
The board did not take a formal vote on the playground proposal during the meeting. Wagner said grant applications are underway and staff will return with more procurement information and additional bids as they become available. The minutes do not specify which grants are being pursued or provide a project timeline.
