Snell Road Bridge work set to begin; township warns affected resident of closure logistics

Township officials said Feb. 3 that preconstruction work for the Snell Road Bridge will begin this week and that the road will be closed for an estimated two months while CMS Construction performs work.
Township Manager Edward C. Wagner said the preconstruction meeting is scheduled for Wednesday and that CMS Construction wanted to begin work the following Monday; transportation and emergency services will be notified. Wagner said the resident at 1215 Snell Road will bring trash and recycling to the Sanatoga Park entrance for collection and that vehicles coming that far will be able to make a three-point turn at the park entrance.
Township Engineer Nick Perilli estimated the closure may last roughly two months but said he would provide a firmer schedule after the preconstruction meeting and continue to update the Board as the project proceeds.
Residents who use Snell Road are advised to expect closures and altered waste-collection arrangements while work is underway; the manager said additional notices will be provided as dates are finalized.
