Pike Road recognizes local students with Lion's Club and Kiwanis scholarships

At its May 11 meeting, the Town of Pike Road recognized several local students with scholarships presented by the Pike Road Lion's Club and the Pike Road Kiwanis Club.
The Lion's Club presented the inaugural Charlene Rabren Scholarship; TJ Norvell presented the award to Lillian Restad, a member of the Pike Road High School Leo Club. Family members and club representatives attended the presentation.
The Kiwanis Club presented scholarships to four students: Olivia Robinson (Macon East Academy), Emma Grace Spivey (Pike Road High School), Jackson Amburn (Pike Road High School), and Jordan Tetter (Alabama Christian Academy). Steve Straughn presented the recognitions; family and Kiwanis members were present.
Council members and the mayor acknowledged the recipients during the meeting; the presentations were ceremonial items recorded in the minutes.
