Utility Director Darryl Green told the board the large copier in the utility office is obsolete and cannot be repaired; a new machine costs about $11,000. He said each utility department—water, sewer and gas—has a $5,000 office equipment line item, which together are sufficient to fund the replacement. Alderman Donna R. Butler moved to approve the purchase; Ald. Keith Smith seconded and the motion carried.
Recorder Jim E. Garland reminded utility board members to complete required training forms. Green said he met with the engineer and conducted a walk‑through of the proposed utility shop on Record Drive; the goal is to have a packet ready for bid around March 1 with work to start in April or May.
Separately, Deputy Chief Moore confirmed the fire pumper truck delivery was still scheduled for mid‑January.
