Henderson approves $7,240 pump purchase as Deanburg station leak worsens

Utility Director Darryl Green told the Board that two pumps at the Deanburg pumping station move water from the downtown system to the Deanburg tank and that one pump is leaking badly. "It’s getting to the point to either repair or replace," Green said, recommending purchase of a new pump for $7,240 and repairing the old pump to use as a spare.
Alderman Donna R. Butler moved to approve the purchase; Ald. Jason Rhodes seconded and the motion carried. The board did not direct additional study; the approved action authorizes procurement and repair work to restore redundancy at the Deanburg station.
