Commission appoints DHR board member, approves voting-machine services for June runoff

The commission authorized the vendor work at a cost of $2,650 so machines can be programmed, tested and supported on election day.
Commissioners also reminded residents about the June 16 runoff and encouraged poll-worker participation; staff said they will circulate a notice about openings on a separate economic development authority board later in June.
