Twin Lakes approves $51,500 contribution for new fire grass rig; transfers older vehicle to department nonprofit

The board also approved transferring ownership of the current grass rig, a 2009 Chevrolet, from the Village to the Fire Department's 501(c)(3); that transfer is contingent on approval by the Village Attorney. Both motions were recorded as carried 4-0.
Board members framed the action as a capital-equipment purchase that preserves municipal ownership of the new apparatus while allowing the nonprofit to continue operating and outfitting emergency vehicles.
