Matthew Rezniewski and Mallory O'Connell addressed the board about pedestrian safety on Bryson Street (Larchmont/unincorporated Mamaroneck). They said the narrow street lacks curbing and sidewalks, is a common walking route to Murray Avenue School, and that parking practices have caused repeated driveway blockages and property damage. Rezniewski offered a petition signed by residents in support of sidewalks and curbing and described a recent incident in which a vehicle damaged a rear bumper while making a U‑turn.
Resident Mark Kramer supported the request and urged the board to “look forward” when choosing equipment and infrastructure so the town can add organics collection and durable vehicles that enable future services. Town Administrator Meredith Robson and the supervisor said the proposal would be considered during the town’s fall budget discussions and that engineering had flagged feasibility and budget as outstanding items to evaluate.
Next steps: Staff said further evaluation of feasibility and cost will occur and the board will consider the item in the fall budget process; residents were asked to provide their petition to the clerk for the record.
