At its Jan. 6 meeting the Ballston Green Community Committee scheduled a Climate Smart Community meeting for Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. and agreed to review grant opportunities, including applications to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
Committee members directed the team to review grants and identify ones that might work for GCC projects; the formal grant-review discussion is scheduled for the February meeting. The committee discussed a list of next-agenda items including grants, fall courses and a possible committee Christmas tree project.
No specific grants were applied for at the meeting; members will return with recommendations after the February review.
