Select Board approves Lunar Lotus Nutrition license; reappoints constables and other municipal items

The Wareham Select Board on April 21 approved a series of routine licenses, appointments and small financial actions.
The board voted to approve a common victualer license for Lunar Lotus Nutrition, 3147 Cranberry Highway Unit 1 in East Wareham, with approval contingent on satisfactory inspections. Applicant Tiffany Finn described building a community of regular customers and said she was finalizing one remaining inspection before picking up paperwork. “I’ve been a stay at home mom for a while… Going back into the workforce was very scary for me,” Finn said, describing the shop as “a sanctuary” where she wants to give back to the community.
Sarah Corbett moved to approve the license; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with Joseph Still and Chair Judith Whiteside joining Corbett in support.
The board also reappointed Karen Blair, George Morse, Joel Thomas and Richard Colletti as constables with terms expiring June 30, 2029. The board discussed processing the reappointments together since they are reappointments and the candidates’ paperwork was in order; the motion carried on a roll call.
Other approved actions included renewing the pawnbroker license for Gateway Golden Pond, Inc. (261 Main Street) pending fees and inspections; approving abatements totaling $547.50 requested by the municipal maintenance director; reappointing Sharon Rice as the town representative to Old Colony Elder Services (term to expire 06/30/2027); and accepting a $20 donation from Nancy Ashburn to the Council on Aging. All motions were moved, seconded and approved by roll-call votes.
These votes were procedural and largely administrative; the board recorded the approvals and directed staff to complete any outstanding inspections and paperwork.
