Committees invited to March 17 State of the City event at Ridgefield High School

Staff announced the State of the City event on March 17 and invited Roundabout Committee members to represent the committee at a reception and brief presentation at Ridgefield High School Commons.
"It is on March 17, which is a Tuesday. It's also Saint Patrick's Day, from 05:30 to 6PM at the Ridgefield High School Commons," staff said, asking for volunteers to staff the committee table during a 5:15 p.m. setup window. Multiple members volunteered to participate; one member later said they could not attend because of childcare responsibilities.
Staff said the event format this year includes a reception followed by short presentations and videos, and that committees would not be expected to bring materials: "Whether it's handouts, flyers, newspaper articles, whatever it may be, we will provide all of that. And, really, what you'll need to do is just show up," staff said. Committee members suggested bringing newspaper clippings, a two-sided informational handout, name badges and possibly branded materials to engage passersby.
Staff will coordinate logistics with Julie and Megan Demas and confirm what will be provided at the table. Several members noted the event historically draws a substantial audience and could be an opportunity to highlight the committee’s recent work on roundabout design.
