Lower Pottsgrove Township’s Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted Resolution 1390‑26 on Jan. 15, 2026, enacting several changes to the township’s non‑uniform employee handbook.
Township Manager Edward C. Wagner told the board the resolution shortens the window for earning compensatory time: employees may now earn comp time only through Dec. 15 each year; hours accrued after that date will be paid as overtime. The resolution also changes when new employees receive personal time, moving eligibility from after one year of employment to after the probationary period, and allows personal time to be used in 15‑minute increments rather than 30‑minute blocks. Language was added permitting domestic partners to be added to township health insurance if they sign a prepared affidavit.
Commissioner Eileen Bailey moved to adopt the resolution; Commissioner William Keohane seconded. The motion passed 5‑0. The adoption was recorded alongside routine financial approvals at the meeting.
The changes will adjust payroll processing and leave administration; Manager Wagner and finance staff will implement the updated deadlines and prepare any payroll adjustments needed for the change in comp‑time cutoff.
